Zoom's account termination control is available to account owners. Paid accounts must cancel their subscription and wait for the billing period before termination is available.
Before you delete
- Request a copy of your personal data from Zoom's Data & Privacy page if you need one.
- Cancel paid plans and wait for the current billing cycle to finish. Terminating the account does not create an automatic refund.
- If the account belongs to an organisation, ask the account owner or administrator to handle the request.
Delete your Zoom account
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal and open Admin, then Account Management and Account Profile.
- Choose Terminate My Account.
- Enter your password when asked and select Continue.
- Read the warning and choose Delete to confirm termination.
What happens next
Zoom says a Basic account can be terminated immediately. Paid accounts become eligible after the subscription is cancelled and its billing period ends.
Zoom's Data & Privacy process can handle data access or deletion requests separately. Follow the confirmation email for timing; a data request can have its own cancellation window.
