ยท Uber
Uber deactivates an account immediately after a deletion request and gives you 30 days to sign in and restore it before permanent deletion proceeds.
Before you delete
- Resolve unpaid balances or open payment issues. Uber says an outstanding payment can block account deletion.
- Use Uber's Privacy Center if you want to review or request a copy of your personal data first.
- Check Uber Eats, credits, promotions, rewards, and other products. They use the same account and are affected by deletion.
Delete your Uber account
- Open Uber's Privacy Center and sign in.
- Choose the option to delete your account and review the products and data included.
- Confirm the request and complete any identity or security checks.
- Do not sign in during the next 30 days unless you want to restore the account.
What happens next
Uber says the account is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted after 30 days if you do not restore it. Deletion also applies to Uber Eats and removes unused credits, promotions, and rewards.
Uber may retain some information when required for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, or financial-record reasons. Follow the Privacy Center status for the request rather than assuming every record disappears at once.
