Twitch account deletion removes the account, profile, and channel content through Twitch's account controls. Download or request your data first if you need a copy.
Before you delete
- Request your data from Security and Privacy settings on desktop. Twitch sends the prepared download to the account email address.
- Cancel subscriptions, Prime benefits, bits, and other paid services separately where applicable.
- Save clips, videos, or channel information you want to keep. Deletion is permanent once processing completes.
Delete your Twitch account
- Open Twitch's account-deletion page and sign in.
- Read the warning about channel and profile content, then submit the deletion request.
- Complete any email or security confirmation Twitch requests.
- Do not sign in while the deletion is processing unless Twitch's confirmation tells you that it is safe to do so.
What happens next
Twitch says deletion is permanent and can remove the profile, channel, and account content within its processing period. Signing in during processing can cancel the request.
Some information can be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or financial reasons. Check Twitch's confirmation email for the request status and timing.
