ยท Spotify
Spotify separates closing an account from cancelling Premium. Close the account when you want Spotify to start deleting the account and its personal data.
Before you delete
- Download your account data if you want a record of playlists, listening history, or account information.
- Cancel Premium separately if you are paying through Apple, Google, a mobile provider, or another partner.
- Check purchased audiobooks, live tickets, and other paid content. Closing the account can remove access to them.
Delete your Spotify account
- Open Spotify's account-closure support page and choose the link for closing your account.
- Sign in to the Spotify account you want to remove.
- Follow the confirmation steps and select Close account.
- Do not use the reactivation link if you want deletion to continue.
What happens next
Spotify provides a seven-day reactivation window. After that window, deletion begins and the account cannot be restored through the reactivation link.
Spotify says the same email address can generally be used for a new account after 14 days. Closing the account does not automatically cancel every third-party subscription or refund purchases.

Menus and timelines can change. Confirm the current process in the Spotify Support. If you want a copy first, use Understand and download your Spotify data.
